Terms changelog for code buyers

Latest full read: 2026-11-07

Newest first: each shift we have caught in what code buyers post. If a page hides when it changed, the line carries our read date instead. "Reported" lines are journalism, not the buyer speaking.

  1. micro1

Three bands on micro1's /data page: $100K–$500K, $500K–$3M, and beyond $3M, open once a firm employs thirty people full time. Older articles quote a lower top figure; the live page has moved on, without saying when. Via micro1 data partnerships page.

  2. micro1

Introducers now earn $50,000 on an Enterprise Data Partnership worth up to $700,000, $75,000 on a Defunct one worth up to $1 million, and 7.5% of value on bigger deals. Both sums beat what the June launch post offered. No change date appears on the page. Via micro1 company referral page.

  3. Scale AI

Scale AI frames $10K–$1M+ as illustrative value that grows with delivery cadence, and is explicit that it is no guarantee. Forty employees is its preferred starting size. Raw systems, credentials and source access are on its do-not-take list. Via Scale AI data partnership page.

  4. Labelbox

Prism names traces of code generation and editing as a category it wants. Small, targeted sets start near $50K, and unless negotiated otherwise a Prism license is exclusive. Via Labelbox Prism page.

  5. SimpleClosure

AssetHub, the asset arm of SimpleClosure's wind-down service, covers repos with their docs and tests plus Slack, Drive, mail, Notion and Figma exports. No price list. Each dataset is scrubbed for personal data before it is licensed, the page says. Via SimpleClosure AssetHub page.

  6. Nyne

Project records from Jira and Asana are on Nyne's list. It needs twenty or more US W-2 staff and a company that has traded for three years. Via Nyne company data page.

  7. All

Baseline read of each buyer page cited anywhere on this site. Later lines are diffs against it. Via Who buys code.

  8. SimpleClosure, reported

Per MIT Technology Review, a crypto founder cleared about $25,000 for the code of his closed startup, with SimpleClosure arranging the sale. Journalism, not a SimpleClosure price list. Via MIT Technology Review, 13 Oct 2026.

  9. Google, reported

Reuters: Google agreed a $10 million price for the airline Spirit's archive of employee email, Teams threads, sheets and calendars, topping Mercor at $7.5 million, pending a judge's sign-off. No code involved, yet it is the plainest public number for workspace data. Via Reuters, 17 Aug 2026 (via The Star).

  10. micro1

A micro1 forum post dated 16 June 2026 opened referrals for company data partnerships. The payout has risen since; see the 2026-11-07 line. Via micro1 forum announcement, 16 Jun 2026.

Disclosure: several of these companies run referral programs and could pay this site after a deal with a company we introduced. Rows are in no paid order, and fees do not shape the wording.

How this log is kept

Method: open the buyer's site, note what it says and when. A changed number earns a fresh line; older lines stay untouched. Numbers seen only on third-party sites never get in. Pages that will not load (Mercor's, on 2026-11-07) contribute nothing.

ZIP, contact, then eight multiple-choice questions about the repos. Your answers get held up against every buyer's published rules, and the matches come back to you by email, by name.

No code, repo URLs, exports or samples here, please. Answers only; we do not want your data.

Where is the company based?

Five digits. A Delaware agent address is fine.
